Thanks so much for following our signature holiday event to FAMU DRS on December 7th, due to inclement weather. It was a great venue, the turnout was wonderful, the spirit high, the entertainment representative of our super culturally diverse community and our host, Dr. Pink Hightower, Superintendent of the School and Mrs. K. Barnes were outstanding!!!! We agree with many who expressed that this is an ideal space and we look forward to more.
Hats off to the winners and to all organizations for helping to ensure that the Riley House, the only historic Black home in downtown Tallahassee, built in 1890, and the legacy of its owner, John Gilmore Riley, continues; also that the only community-based African American museum is being sustained.
Thanks to all volunteers, rockers, vendors, performers, donors and FRIENDS OF THE RILEY HOUSE.
Have a great holiday and New Year. You will be hearing from us again this year and throughout the year 2020.
