RILEY VISITORS CENTER CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
The Riley Museum’s capital campaign for the new Visitors Center annex building is almost complete. . . Now is your chance to support this one-of-a-kind community purpose project!
The intent of the Visitors Center is to not only to add much-needed functionality to the Museum, but also to serve as a destination for visitors who wish to learn more about the significance of the Historic Smokey Hollow Community. It will include a gathering hall, small catering kitchen, unisex restroom and storage. The hall will accommodate conferences, presentations, dining events and exhibits of the Riley House and Historic Smokey Hollow.

- To provide workspace for seven employees currently housed in three 8×10 upstairs bedrooms of Riley Museum
- To accommodate increased visitation to the Museum, resulting from the completion of the Cascades Park construction project. It is estimated that our current visitation/use of 8,000 + will increase to 15,000 annually.
- To provide adequate and appropriate space to host special visitors, including local, state, and national, international partners and better engage tourists and other visitors on its daily, year-round, schedule.
- The addition of the Visitors Center will enable the Riley Museum to serve as a tourism hub and continue to attract tourism dollars to our state and local economy.

||Hosting the National Association of African American Museums Conference (Aug. 3-6)
