This exhibit chronicles some of the history of people, places, events and things that were integral to the building of the Smokey Hollow community. The artifacts showcased and evolved many of the agricultural, industrial, innovative developments and technological advances of our time.
Though not privy to today’s modern technology and industrialized methods, given the time in which they lived, residents – in their own way – survive and prospered. Homes were built, crops grew and animals were raised; churches, schools and businesses, all of which helped to sustain life, thrived in Tallahassee and Leon County.
As a result, the community grew.
