Culture to Culture Holiday Rock-a-Thon

The Holiday Rock-a-Thon as we completed our 18th successful event strives to be the main event of the year as the Tallahassee communitites and local organizations rock in chairs to raise funds for the Riley Center/Museum. The funds collected are utilized to continue the annual research programs, summer initiatives and educational purposes for students. The Rock-a-Thon also is to help upkeep operations annually. This event is held at Cascades Park Amphitheater and includes event entertainment, vendors, and food.


Blended Lives! The 4th Grade Cultural Exchange Program
November 13, 2017 – November 17th, 2017

Blended Lives is an annual program that aims to provide cultural knowledge to fourth graders near Tallahassee, Florida. All 24 schools, within the Leon County District, participate annually. Students partake on this venture to learn the historic information about the legacy of John Gilmore Riley, visit the Smokey Hollow Village and tour the Florida Capitol.


Creators Camp Flight SS2017A: Google Cardboard Exploring Virtual Reality!
March 13, 2017 – March 16th, 2017

Creator’s Camp is a 3-day experience that is designed to expose kids to the foundations of photography and visual storytelling by evoking the imaginations of youth and opening doors to the world of photography from a “makers” perspective. Participants have the opportunity to make a pinhole camera to experiment with photography concepts.

The focus of Creator’s Camp is Photography, Making and Capturing Beautiful Things.


Power-Up Summer Camp 
June 5, 2017 – July 21, 2017

The Power-Up Summer Camp Program is a 6-week program that aims to enhance youth cultural literacy through integrated arts, arithmetic, music, literacy learning tools, as well as traveling to historic sites surrounding Tallahassee, Florida.
